Asif Saeed Khosa Took Oath As Chief Justice Of Pakistan.

Sardar Asif Saeed Khosa, the new Chief Justice of Pakistan has taken oath as a new Chief Justice of Pakistan in the presidency Islamabad.

Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan, all the chiefs of armed forces, ambassadors, serving and retired judges of Supreme court participated in this auspicious ceremony.

 Guard of honour was presented to the new Chief Justice of Pakistan Sardar Asif Saeed Khosa in the presidency of Pakistan.

 Sardar Asif Saeed Khosa is the 26th Chief Justice of Supreme Court and President of Pakistan Mr Arif Alvi took oath in the presidency Islamabad.

 After the ceremony the new chief justice of Pakistan visited the premises of supreme Court of Pakistan.

Sardar Asif Saeed Khosa was born on 21st December 1954 at Dera Ghazi Khan. He mastered from Punjab University Lahore in year1975.

 He graduated from Cambridge University in the law in year 1977 and 1978.

 His journey as a lawyer started in 1979 from Lahore High Court and was elevated as a judge of Lahore High Court on 21st may 1998.

He was one of the judges who announced not to take oath according to the PCO after the proclamation of emergency by former President of Pakistan General retired Pervez Musharraf on 7th November.

He was reinstated after the success of Wokala Tehreek in August 2008.

He was elevated as a judge of supreme Court of Pakistan in year 2010.

He is also renowned for the writing of maximum judgements in the Pakistan.

In the judgement against the former prime minister of Pakistan Yousuf Raza Gilani in the contempt case, he quoted  the poem of renowned poet Khalil Gibran for the nation.

It is also worth mentioning that in the Panama case, he gave his verdict against Mian Nawaz Sharif under article 62 63 of the constitution of Pakistan. He held him as not being Sadiq and Amin and not able to run the public office.

He is the Writer of 4 books also . He had been the teacher of Punjab University law College Lahore ,Bahaudin Zakriya University Multan  and LUMS University Lahore.

 His reign as a Chief Justice of Pakistan would end in December 2019 and he would get retirement in this year. His Lordship Mr. Justice Gulzar Ahmad would be the next Chief Justice of Pakistan  after the retirement of sardar Asif Saeed Khan Khosa.

Mr justice Gulzar Ahmed would take the oath as the 27th Chief  Justice of Pakistan on 1st February 2012.
