Normally Civil Law is termed as FOJDARI and Criminal Law is called as Dewani in Pakistan and India. These two terms has their background and significance. During the regime of Mughals in sub continent,  the Mughals introduced two different departments to deal with the respective departments. They distiguished criminal law from that of civil law.
